Everyone has seen your sweater. Time for a new audience.
ReYule is a swap for ugly Christmas sweaters, straight from one person to another: you hand yours over and go home with one nobody you know has ever seen. One for one, ten minutes, a coffee. No money, no shipping, no middleman storing your reindeer sweater in a basement.
How it works
Four steps. None of them is ironing.

Show it off.
Two photos in daylight, front and back. Yes, the back too. We know about the stain.

Say yes.
Tick every sweater in the gallery that you would wear. Or go on a blind date: the size has to fit, the rest is fate.

We play matchmaker.
Every Monday and Thursday at 20:00, an algorithm from 1965 works out who fits whom. It is older than most of the sweaters and considerably more reliable.

Ten minutes, one coffee.
You meet within 4 days in a public place, try them on and hand them over at the same time. Then you type in the code from the care label. Done.

The blind date
Only the size has to fit.
Tick "Blind date is fine" and you will take any sweater in your sizes. You both bring your sweaters in a paper bag and unwrap them together. Like opening presents on Christmas Eve, minus the relatives.
If you don't like it, say no and go home with your own. Nobody is offended. Except perhaps the sweater.
Blind dates find a match far more often: two blind daters always fit, as long as the size does.

House rules
Six rules. Each one for a reason.
- One for one.
- One sweater for one sweater. No money, no "I'll throw in a tenner", no haggling over bobbles.
- In public, in daylight.
- A café by the U-Bahn, a Punsch stand, a station hall. No back yards, no "just come up for a second".
- First names only.
- You talk in the chat on your page. Your number stays your number.
- Try it on first.
- Then swap. You can say no at any point, with no reason and no penalty.
- Turn up.
- Miss a date and you are paused. Miss two and you are out until next Advent.
- 18 and over.
- We don't swap children's sweaters. They grow out of them before they get embarrassing.
Bring someone along if you like. You don't have to ask. And anyone who misbehaves is reported and blocked with one click.

Why not just give it away?
Because then you have no new one. Here you go home with a sweater that nobody you know has ever seen.
What if nobody picks my sweater?
Then we tell you how many people saw it, and you go first at the next pairing. The quickest way is "Blind date is fine": then there is almost always someone.
What if I don't confirm?
Then the date lapses and your sweater takes a break, so nobody sits in a café for nothing. One click on your page and it is back in.
What is the code for?
You write it on the care label with a laundry marker. Whoever gets your sweater types it in after the handover. That's how we know you swapped, and the sweater officially belongs to the other person.
Is this a dating site?
No. It is called a date because two people meet. The only thing anyone falls for here is a sweater.
By post?
Not this season. You meet in Vienna. That is faster than the post and smells better.
What does it cost?
Nothing. We make no money from any swap, and there are no ads either.
